Nonetheless, certain circumstances fall beyond our control, which can affect the success of live deliveries. The most prevalent challenges include:

  • Unattended Deliveries
  • Shipping Delays
  • Weather Extremes

Unattended Deliveries 

When a delivery occurs at an address and no one is available to receive it, we cannot guarantee the condition of the live insects upon arrival. This scenario introduces variables that are outside our control, which can significantly impact the well-being of the insects.

To mitigate risks associated with unattended deliveries, we take the precaution of clearly labeling all shipping boxes. These labels indicate that the contents are live insects and instruct carriers to place the package in a shaded, cool area, away from direct sunlight. Despite these measures, the responsibility for the order shifts to the customer once it has been delivered to the specified address or if it is held at the post office for pickup.

In evaluating claims under our Live Arrival Guarantee, we depend on the tracking information provided by the carrier. It's important to note that we are unable to offer replacements for orders designated as "left in a safe place" or "unattempted delivery" by Australia Post or any similar status indicating unattended delivery.

Shipping Delays

We take great pride in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of our live insects. However, it is crucial for our customers to understand that our Live Arrival Guarantee does not cover incidents related to shipping delays, such as orders designated as 'Delayed – waiting to be processed for delivery.

Shipping delays are unfortunately a reality of logistics that can occur due to various unforeseen circumstances, such as extreme weather events, operational issues with shipping carriers, or unexpected logistical challenges. These events fall outside our direct influence and may impact the prompt delivery of your live insect order. We cannot guarantee the condition of the parcels if they are subjected to prolonged exposure to heat and direct sunlight during the delayed delivery process.

While we diligently work to minimize the risk of delays through careful planning and coordination, we cannot influence carrier schedules or unforeseen disruptions in their services. Therefore, we encourage our customers to plan their purchases with consideration of possible delays, especially during peak shipping seasons or adverse weather conditions.

Weather Extremes

The journey of live insects through the postal system, particularly during the intense heat of summer, requires careful consideration. Despite our commitment to delivering the highest quality feeder insects, the fragile nature of these creatures means their well-being during transit is influenced by external temperatures.

If the forecast in our area predicts temperatures outside safe shipping thresholds, we will postpone dispatching orders until conditions improve. It is essential, however, for customers to evaluate their local weather conditions before placing an order. Our capacity does not extend to monitoring weather across various locales to predict potential shipping complications.

Before ordering, please assess the risk of extreme heat affecting your live insects while in transit. Consider your local weather forecast for the entire expected shipping duration.

JinsGrowth disclaims responsibility for any losses resulting from extreme local temperatures (below 6°C or above 33°C) on the delivery day. Furthermore, our Live Arrival Guarantee is nullified if high temperatures are anticipated during transit. Customers are urged to carefully review their local weather conditions before placing an order. In cases of loss due to extraordinary circumstances in shipping, we are unable to offer replacements or credits. However, JinsGrowth may, at its discretion, include replacement insects with a future order placed at a later time.

Order Issue Resolution Process

If you encounter any problems with your order, we kindly ask you to provide us with photographs documenting the issue within 24 hours of parcel arrival. You can reach out to us via Email, WhatsApp, SMS, or Facebook Messenger for convenience.

We are committed to addressing your concerns promptly and will inform you of the resolution to your claim as swiftly as possible. In cases of significant loss, JinsGrowth reserves the right to offer store credit or a replacement depending on the specific circumstances of each case.  

Please note that store credit or replacements are provided exclusively for affected products only. Kindly be aware that this coverage does not encompass the shipping fee, even if free shipping was applied to the original purchase. The recipient will be responsible for any associated shipping expenses for the replacement order.
